Anyone else eyeballing this reel? I’m hoping to stay on track to make a upgrade purchase on a rod/reel combo this upcoming spring and this reel is on my radar. Looking for any information on the MQ LT body I guess ?

It looks basically like a BG MQ with the Zaion V body.  Other then the MQ body and the bigger main gear everything else about the lower end MQs is inferior to the reels they replaced.  Daiwa makes a good cast zinc gear, but I cant justify spending 250 or 300$ on a reel and not getting an AL main.   

It's $179 not 250 to 300.

@mjb2000 I really appreciate you pointing out the price. I made my purchase earlier this year going in favor of a 1000 size Shimano Stradic FL for a few different reasons but mainly I didn’t want to have to shop overseas for a shallower spool. 

 The Stradic FL is fantastic.  You’ll love it.  I have 4.    I use my 1000 size on my st croix panfish rod.    ??
