What type of line would you recommend for a medium heavy-MF casting rod used for throwing whopper ploppers, spinnerbaits and Chatterbaits with?

I used 12 lb Berkley XT then Big Game the past 40 years for everything with bait casting reels, except big heavy swimbaits.

The past 5 years or so using Sunline Defier Armillo 11 lb.

I can’t cast braid any further then mono, about 40 to 50 yards is far enough. Bad backlash with Braid ends your day with the reel without cutting it out and respooling.

No advantage with braid imo, unless fishing heavy vegetation.

I fish cranks deep and squares on straight yo zuri hybrid 12 lb. Spinnerbaits I throw on the same rod as my t rig so 40lb braid to a 12,15,17lb yo zuri hybrid leader. For top waters except poppers straight 40lb braid. Just what I like.

I prefer FC to Mono for BC, but I actually have a better landing ratio with mono then FC with chatterbaits.  I have a lot more confidence in mono as far breakages go.  I found 12lb big game to be as strong as if not stronger then 15lb invizx.  I love braid for spinning gear, but no so much for casting, just my preference.  Basically see how the mono works and go from there.
