Nitro z7 ? Thinking this instead of aluminum boat...

Featured Replies

Well I went looking yesterday and man this nitro z7 looks very clean and fit and finish looks good..

It had hot foot and blinker trim.

I would have to upgrade the tm to a fortrex 80#, and add a 6" jp.. Is the jp even needed?

I'm not worried about if it's the top other brand names because, I have been fishin from a 15' duck boat with a 25 hp motor. So this will be a huge upgrade..

So please all info is needed and all yalls thoughts on this purchase!!!!

Hopefully I can find a good lookig color!!

Thanks everyone!!

all depends on the kind of water and where you live, for me i do alota skinny water river fishing where i live so my aluminum boat works well for that application. I  can bang it against rocks, and anything else in the way. Don't have to worry about scratching it or busting the gel coat. and when i am done fishing for the day load it up and drive home. Don't have to wax it or wipe it down....down side....the wind blows it around easier then a glass boat....and since it ain't all sparkley chics don't dig it.... ;)

depends on what water you fish and what you want out of the boat. big wide lakes I would go with glass. for speed again the glass. my last two boats were 19 1/2' Stratos's with 200hp. I'm at that age where speed is'nt that important anymore and I fish smallish lakes. I just bought a new Crestliner VT19 aluminum with a 115 optimax. the front deck is larger than the Stratos. none of the bling of the glass but I won't have to trade in my Ford Edge to pull it and with the price of gas I don't think I'll regret it. I know there are some spots on the Mississippi river that I will fish that I would never dare with the glass boat.
