Tokyo rig - VMC types

Featured Replies

Want to try these rigs this summer but I don't want to buy every shape and size imaginable..lol

What sizes do you recommend?

Also, isn't a neko rig a wacky w/ a nail weight? How do you Tokyo that?

TIA<

Im actually going to buy some after work today. Looking to get the wide gap hooks in 3/0 and 4/0.

It depends on which plastics you use. I use the 3/0 a lot, it’s the perfect size for the ri sweet beaver (pictured) and other creatures like the brush hog. For 5-6” finesse worms or stick worms I might go with the 2/0.

I’ve been catching a bunch of bass these past few days on the TR. I do wish there was a bait stopper though or a way to change out the hook.
