Sunline braided lines

Featured Replies

Can someone take me to school on these 3 lines XPlasma , SX1, and FX2

What is the real difference between the 3? I know FX2 is quite rough for cutting through vegetation but apart from that I don’t know anything about the lines….. so what are the main differences between the 3 and what would be considered “the best all around line”

Are sx1 and plasma basically the same?

Never used the other two,  but XPlasma is finesse oriented. Thin, extremely slick, not very soft, so-so abrasion resistance.

Sx 1 is great Finesse braid

So what I’ve gathered is sx1 and plasma are both finesse braids and FX2 is a heavy duty braid

so is there really any difference between sx1 and plasma?

I have been using both Xplasma 16lb and SX1 40lb.

The SX1 is similar to 832. It's larger in size and is loud through the guides. It works well for topwater and vegetation.  I would definitely not call it a finesse line. It has zero coating.

Xplasma is thinner and slicker than the SX1 making it great for spinning gear. I have it on my main wacky rig setup for the past two seasons and it has worked great. It's definitely more finnese oriented.

Downside to both of these lines is that they fade fast.
