Heavy stain? I would go with the biggest colorado I could find in either chartreuse or black.

I like slow rolling spinnerbaits and start out every tournament and fun fish spinnerbaiting. I normally have success and basically only use a 5 or 6 silver willow. I just feel more confidence in that combination, and feel I can keep better bottom contact with it. Espeically in that depth range and if there is grass around-I think that combo is deadly. I have tried a single colorado in a 5, literally, 1 time before but didn't feel that confidence. I don't really experiment with my colored blades that much, but I will be able to let you know after this weekend. I am fishing a big 2 day tournament and need to make the cut the first day, so I am prepping a bunch of different spinnerbait combos, and customizing some with painted blades. So I'm hoping for some aggressive fish, the right conditions--cause I want to go down with the blades in my hand.

Hope I am reposting to you Sunday night and not Saturday ;)

Hildebrandt® Go Getter Short-arm style is perfect for slow-rolling 24K gold plated blades.

For a single blade I always throw the terminator night bait. Ive always felt confortable throwing it during the day in lakes with crappie espically ones with heavy cover.  They have great feel for the blade turning.  Im sure any quality 1/2oz sb that doesnt have really heavy wire will do just fine.  Id recomend if you want to slow roll deep you down sized the blade one size though.

For slow rolling in 20 foot of water, i like Hart spinner baits on Fork.    1/2-3/4 oz.

I also like to take off the other small willow leaf at times.     The larger willow puts out enough vibration, but adds no lift to the bait, thus the bait stays in contact with the bottom contour.

Colorado blades provide lift.    If I'm fishing some stained to dirty water, I opt to change to a Indiana blade, more vibration than a willow, yet less lift than a Colorado.
