Early this morning, before sun up, threw a Chug Bug for 2 smallish Alabama bass.  Went to several points for naught then a point down the lake a buddy showed up and we talked for 15 or 20 minutes.  He said he caught several on top water earlier where we were.  He shared a lure he was using for deep fish, jighead and a fluke.  He left and I fished down the bank with a worm, lots of docks with poles.  Caught 5 Alabama bass between 2.13 and 2.87 and took off to another place.  Used the lure he recommended and caught another over 2 lb Alabama and had a hook up with the below fish. Ended with a pretty good morning.  

That sounds like a good day to me. Nice fish. Sometimes a different lure or perspective works.
