Vmc crossover rings

Featured Replies

I have found that it depends on the stick bait.  Some have a larger diameter, some smaller.  It also depends on the plastic.  Some are more fragile than others.  I usually keep both sizes.

I ended up purchasing the Arsenal fishing silicone tube shields from tackle warehouse instead. They seem like a better option and I have a buddy who uses em and loves em

Those look nice but the VMC ones have a much better hook up to land ratio IMO due to less material being under the hooks!

I used to use heat shrink tube before o rings were a thing and had issues with hookup to land ratio using standard wacky hooks. I’ve converted all my wacky and Neko fishing over to vmc Neko hooks in #1 and 1/0 for stick baits. My buddy who uses the Arsenal tubes has no issues as well using the Neko hooks

What size is everyone using for 5” senkos? Some guys say 6mm some 7mm

7mm is great for 5" Senkos but if your dealing with smaller fish they will grab the ends and pull it clean out the 7mm so I will use the 6mm when smaller fish are around.
