I'm a maxscent connoisseur but would say my drop shot skill isn't my strength.

 

Maybe it's my style of fishing, but I have much more success getting bit with the hit worm over the flat worm.

 

I've tried my best to force feed bass Rein's bubbling shaker and have been rather unsuccessful.

I don’t nose rig my dropshot, every bait is T-Rigged with a #1 gamakatsu ewg hook.  A Yamamoto Shad Shape Worm quickly became my bait of choice but before that I exclusively used a 5” Pro Senko or 5” Kut Tail.  I have also used the California Roll with good success.  Now that Yamamoto has come out with a smaller Yamatanuki, I’m going to give that a shot next.

I really like Bomb Shots, they look great in the water and you get a bunch for 5$ or less.  That super soft plastic gives them great action, but makes them susceptible to being pulled off the hook or torn up after 1 fish.  If I only have a few left, ill put a CPS spring in the head and that significantly the # of baits you go through.  Since they're really soft and in a crowded pack, they're really susceptible to kinking.  Its not a big deal to straighten them, but its a hassle.  No matter how hard try to keep them from jumbling up in the bag it always seems to happen.  I would much rather pay the same amount $ and get 10 if they came in a clamshell.
