Garmin Sd Cards

Featured Replies

I have just completely switched over to Garmins with the purchase of a new boat and am very unfamiliar with them. I have a couple of questions.  First off,  I have downloaded all of the waypoints off of my hummingbirds onto a sd card, will the points have to change format for them to work or do I put the card in and import all of the waypoints as is? My second question is what is a better choice Garmin Navionics+, Garmin Navionics Vision+ Lake Maps, or Garmin LakeVu g3 Ultra Maps?

You need to get your user data into the universal GPX format, then it will be a straight import into Garmin.  I am not familiar with Humminbird, but you can search the internet for various ways to make the conversion of your Humminbird file to GPX.

Relative to mapping advice, I need to know which specific Garmin units you have.  The newest ones have Garmin Navionics mapping built in, so the exact units you have will dictate which mapping card would be most useful.
