im going to buy a new reel and cant decide on the Abu Garcia Zenon MG-LTX or the lews elite pro Ti

If you're going to spend that kind of money just get a bantam

The reels are very different in weight 4.2 oz vs 6.2 oz. the 6 oz range reel weight puts you into Daiwa and Shimano higher end reels. 

For general use like pitching or frogging into heavy cover the rod is the most important component, extremely light weight reel it’s difficult to find a rod that balances.

Aluminum gears are popular today to save weight using titanium nitrite coating for wear. Magnesium alloys being used to reduce weight are not as strong as aluminum and shouldn’t be used in salt water. 

You pay a lot for light weight and that doesn’t mean durabilty.
