I am thinking of getting a Shimano Antares DC for my Christmas present. The instructions will be in Japanese so I am wondering if anyone has one. If so was it hard to set up?

    you can look at tackle tours review of the calais dc ... this should give you enough understanding of the reel to figure out the japanise version,,, the andreas dc .... bolth reels should have the same system ... i have a scorp 1001 ,,, fairly easy to figure out .... good luck the andreas  is a sweet reel  ;)

    Congratulations!

    I love my non-DC Antares ARs.  Don't know how they could be improved upon but Shimano made history with their DC reels. 8-)
