I just purchased a 2500 HGFL and a 3000 XGFL at the Tackle Warehouse sale.  I want to get extra spools.  The 3000 holds way too much line.  It looks to me like the spools are interchangeable.  Are they?

yes, both are mid-frame reels, Shimano spool size S-20.  

 

I checked Hedgehog Studio, and looks like the older Yumeya 1215 series are sold out.  But they have good stock on '19 Stradic spools.

Just eyeballing them they looked alike and both fit both frames.  I don’t think I will ever need the larger capacity spool.
