Guide replacement

Featured Replies

My 734c has been sitting for quite awhile as had busted guide and wanted a shop to replace it so it looked good .. I gave up trying to find someone local and did it myself…

boy it looks horrible but its done 😂
The fish don’t care .😂

@TcRocAs long as your repair holds up that is all that matters!

I had to do a couple repairs on one of my rods this winter also. The epoxy was cracked/chipped on the logo, so I didn't want to damage the label. Also had to repair the hook keeper, I was pretty happy how it came out.

Looks great man… mine looks like a experiment with a toddler 😂 I’ll post later when I get home

There are plenty of youtube videos on your problem.  Take your time and it'll come out fine.  Use many coats of Hard as Nails clear nail polish if you don't want to buy guide epoxy.  It's different from hardware store epoxy.
