Don’t throw jerkbaits much and wanted to start using them more so bought a Vision 110 from Bass Pro. First time using it today and it floats tail up almost completely vertical. I know that they are supposed to sit around 45 degrees but this is excessive. This is my first 110 so kind of skeptical of them now. Anyone else have this issue, any resolutions?

Not sure what your water temps are, but in colder water (like maybe anything under 50) they float pretty fast.  Tail up is how they are supposed to sit, not sure the exact angle but 45 degrees is what I'd call it, could be more I guess.  

 

I guess I'd have to see it to know for sure, but it sounds normal to me.  

Sounds pretty normal to me, mine rise tail first pretty sharply after a second. Caught my PB on one like that

Yep mine rise also I just add a little weight to make the bait do what I want. I’d much rather have it float then sink.

Don’t mind the floating but I’d think it’d sit more horizontal when I pause. It’s sitting almost up and down.

I add tiny decoy clips one at a time until I get it to suspend how I want. I would just start adding clips to the rear split ring until it levels out how you want. I think I use size 00 clips.

Swap out the stock front treble for one with a slightly heavier wire—almost any other treble will work but my favorite is the Gama nano finesse, size 6

I think you mean the rear treble. If the jerkbait is sitting nose down, you want less weight there…or more at the back. Not more at the front. That would only make the issue worse.

Theyre all a slow float, but the vertical position is strange.  With other JBs that's an indication if the WT remaining in the tail end of the bait, with it floating head up in near vertical position.  Definitely strange for a 110.

Right you are—swap out the rear treble. My bad, I read the initial post wrong lol
