Abu Garcia Pro Max reel handle

Featured Replies

I lost mine screw loose and fell off.  Anyone know what I can use? I’ve tried some of my older reels and they won’t fit!

Same handle configuration that is on every Ambassadeur

Handle won't fall off if you have e-clip in place.

There's a huge cache of Ambassadeur aftermarket handles out there, Kahara, Valleyhill (above, Haneda Craft), exotic - N/S Craft (below) - long list.  Check Dad's Ole Tackle.

Any 5x8-mm shaft-slot handle will fit, Doyo, Daiwa - every 8-mm handle nut fits.

Knock your lights out.

I buy these on Aliexpress for my reels.  I like the 95mm length and the Zillion HD like power knob.

Here is one on a Revo X.  They come with both left and right handed nuts.  You want the 8x5mm size.

I’ve tried some of my other Abus. I had an old Black max. The nut wouldn’t fit!

Ebay has a few used ones for sale if you want to go that route, not surprised by the Black Max not working tho.... I have around 10 different budget Abu casting reels and it seems they (Abu) really like changing designs from each of those series reels

That’s annoying! I tried my Orra, black max, the ambassador round reels and even other brands that I have
