3700 TackleStorage

Featured Replies

Anyone know where i can find some 3700 TackleStorage boxs with 4 trays . At the local baitshop their $15.00 each .I got 2 off EBay for $15.00 but their 3 trays & i'm looking for 4 trays. ThankYou

Walmart has 3600 and 3700 Planos usually for $5-6. Tray layout varies depending on choice.

You mean 4 rows?

If so you can get Spro or Rapala boxes for about 12$ per, but they blow the Planos away in quality and customization particualry the Spro.

BPS and Fleet Farm also get Plano 3700s with their logos on them - both have more compartment options than the 'Original' 3700

Wouldnt be surprised if plano molding produces them, but theyre not like the basic plano box.  They have 1 big single latch and have a little different layout.  Ive got a bunch of the BPS ones that came with bags and I've got 3 or 4 that are rejects.  If you open them all the way the hinges want to pop and the lid separates, not the end of the world but not ideal.

They must have changed them cause the BPS 3700s I have are twin-latch ProLatch style, the covers do come off...with effort, and the number of slots for dividers is about double the original.

And yes - the imprint states
"Model 3700"

"Plano Molding Co"

I was talking about the Spro and Rapala boxes being made by Plano.

WHen isay hinges, i mean the hinges on the back of the box, not the latches.  If there's too much tolerance on the hinges the lid wants to separate from the box.

You directly quoted my BPS/Fleet Farm post...so I thought that's what you were talking about.

This is what I mean by single latch

SPRO Box Tackle Tray 3700M

Originally you had quoted me when I referred the spro and Rapala boxes.  I should have specified my point further..Sry for any confusion.

Ya - the single latch is another thing I don't like about the Edge boxes...besides the main fact that their thicker dividers remove lure space.

my favorite are the 3700 size Flambeau Zerust 5007 in the grey color.  These have a soft feel to them which i think helps with cracking.  Could be wrong but I really like these.  Wal-mart has them for under $7
