When cleaning my reels, I have always used wd-40.  I lube the spool with the red Daiwa spool lube that came with the reels.

Question.  Is there a readily available product that is better than wd-40 for routine cleaning?

also - When the daiwa spool lube is gone what is a good spool bearing lube to use.
