I am new to small mouth bass fishing and will be heading to Conemaugh dam/river this weekend to try for smallies.  

 

should i be fishing the dam or the river?  the spillway or downstream?  

 

i will probably be using senkos and tubes mostly.  

 

any advice is greatly appreciated.
