Featured Replies

Anyone seen/used/heard of ...Cabela's Revo "SC"...&XML combo deal?  I'm trying to find out why they're the only retailer with the SC available.  Good deal @ $200 IMHO-IF I could just find out the differences between it and the other 3 Revos.??!!  Lower end REVO maybe?  hep me....Papadew

It looks like it's a one-off with parts from an S model and a SX.  Sure is purty.

I'm trying to find out why they're the only retailer with the SC available.

Because Cabela's had the model made, or licensed or whatever the technical term is, it says "Cabela's Exclusive." Any retailer could have done it... it just takes either a crap load of money to pre buy or a committment of a certain number of reels. (probably like a thousand) Think of it like the "Hank Parker" Abu 4600 that only Bass Pro has...

(the cabelas write up says 6 pin cetri. brake and the pic and highlights show the mag. brake) (I would call to find out for sure which it is before buying it)

I'd bet it's actually an S model but with an SX spool and a magnetic brake... That would allow it to be in between price points.

You probably got it pegged better than Customer Svc @ Cabelas when I called this AM to ask them about it.  They just knew it was their "exclusive" reel offer, nothing about the tech stuff. Think I'm gonna wait til local bait shop gets them in next week so I can get hands on it.  Tight lines...Papa

If its got the 6-pin brake,I would think it would have to have the S model spool. The SX spool is most likely a little different design for the mag brake. Looks to me like its just an S model painted a different color.

I'm just speculating though,I have no hard evidence on any of that.

I figured on the SX spool since the actual pic shows a mag dial.  But I did "assume" that.  ...lol
