Whats the difference between between Sufix Elite and Sufix Siege?

as far as i know elite is the limper line and siege is the more abrasion resistant line.i personally have not used either line.i just read this on a tackle tour review.

One is supposed to be a little more abraison resisitant than the other and a little less flexible... if memory serves correctly the blue label is the stiffer more abraision resistant one. (I think they used red & blue for all of us berkley users.  ...lol)   I have used both, red on spinning gear and blue on baitcast, both worked well and I will continue to use both as needed.

Flechero is right, the styles work almost as advertised.  After reading a few reviews and thinking that the packaging "looked cool",   I gave Sufix Elite a try - it's my favorite mono that I've experimented with so far.  I then decided to try the Siege, for no other reason that comparisons.  It seemed to have a little bit more memory than the Elite, but that is probably due to its tougher build.  I don't really fish a lot of rocks or anything, so the Elite is just fine - but if I ever need a mono to bounce off of some rocks, I'll spool 'da Siege.

Sufix Elite (red label) is more for open water cranking and Sufix Siege (blue label) is for using around rocks and wood. Siege is the more abrasion resistant.  They both have low memory.

In 2 years of using Sufix, I can be honest when saying, I have never broke off a fish and I mostly use 6lb line on spin gear and 10lb test on baitcasters with cranks.

yea ive used both of em and i think there both good but i think seige is slightly better.............like ppl have already said ive never broken off on a fish due to the line only poor knot strength
