St Croix Legend LBTS71MF Opinions?

Featured Replies

Anyone have this rod? Thinking about using it for an all purpose river rod. Just wondering what you have to say.. good or bad.

Also can you upgrade on a warranty claim if you pay a little extra?

I don’t have that exact model but I have 3 Legend Tournament rods and 2 more on the way. They are wonderful sticks. The warranty and customer service is excellent as well. If you break a rod, you can upgrade or get a different model in the same line so there is that as well

The 7’1” MF should be a good all-round rod for spinning presentations

I have the MF and MHF in this length and they could cover around 80% of my fishing. They're long, but not too long. A true "fast" taper. I really like the MF taper - really versatile.

One of my favorite rods. Shaky head, jigging a minnow, finesse jigs, etc. Stuck and landed a lot of fish on it, really high confidence in it.
