St. Croix vs G.loomis

Featured Replies

How dose the Croix Legend elite compare to G.Loomis IMX? I'm looking for a rod in the 6' range that I will use worms/plastics/lite spinners. I saw a (new) older Croix Legend elite 6' M/F on sale for $200. I'm willing to spend up to $250 if I can get a much better rod.

My soft plastics rod is a Legend Elite ES70MF. It is a well built, strong, balanced, quite sensative and I have been very pleased with the rod. I think the  Medium Power blank compares to a G. Loomis IMX Medium Heavy blank.

I have several of both of these rods, and for what it's worth I think the Legend Elite compares closer to the Loomis GLX. I believe it to be a step up from the IMX. Others may disagree, but compare them side by side and make your decision.

I was debating on these two rods for my next flippin stick, as well as a Falcon Expert series. I figgered since were already on the general topic, I'd jump in.
