Is your zillion the jdm version? Curious if the aluminum gears would get worn easier than brass when power fishing? Crankbaits put a lot of stress on the gears.

JDM. No comments I can make are of much help to you until I have more years of use on the reel, so I can’t comment right now.

Not unless you're casting line with a crazy diameter. I have a DC XT on my 705cb spooled with 12lb hybrid which is the same diameter as 15lb invisx. I can bomb 3/4oz spooks that sure cast further than any crankbait and have no capacity issues. I run 10lb hybrid on my mgl70 / 704cb combo, roughly 12lb fluoro diameter.

What’s this hybrid line? Would that be like p-line cxx?

I haven't tried CXX but I think they're probably similar, both copoly. Yo Zuri hybrid is my go to cheap but super effective line, it just runs large diameter and is definitely stronger than the listed test. I treat the 8 like 10, 10 like 12 and so on up to 20lb on some of my swimbait rods.
