Hearing Aids

One year ago, my hearing was tested. It was not real bad, but I did get hearing aids. Mine are the type that go into your ears, with a small plastic wire that loops over your ear. The actual hearing aid goes behind your ear.                    The aids are adjustable for volume level, by pushing a small tab located on the hearing aid.                                                                                    I attribute my hearing loss to the work I've done, as a carpenter. Running loud saws and power tools daily. I've struggled with them. It seems like there's no good adjustment. Things are either too loud or too soft. I'm going tomorrow afternoon to get ready tested, and hopefully get a different style or have them adjusted to work better.                                                  I've also realized that once you get hearing aids, there's no turning back. You'll probably need to wear them daily. It happens as we get older.                                                               If you have hearing aids, do you like them? And, are you happy with how they work?

I’ve needed them for a long time but the audiologists all tell me that none are designed for highway speeds in the boat so I have passed.
