Cashion Icon 7'2'' mlf vs Falcon Cara 7'2"mlf bf rods

Featured Replies

Has anyone fished both rods and can make a comparison between the two? I'm looking at using a rod for ned rigs and finesse applications. I've fished the Cashion 6'10'' rod and really liked it but would like to hear from someone who has fished the longer Cashion rod and wonder how it compares to the Falcon rod. TIA, Ron

I have the falcon and have reviewed it here. For a 1/16 head and up, light Texas rigs, etc it’s a great rod.

Pretty doubtful.  The falcons only came out this spring plus falcon isn't the biggest selling brand so there aren't that many in the wild in the first place.

What weight and plastics are you looking for and what type of action do you prefer?  I was fishing mine last night with a 1/10 head ned rig.  With 8 lb skinny mono on an aldebaran, casting distance is everything you need and then some.  It has a good feel for the bait and strikes.  Anything heavier is a breeze.  Lighter depends on the plastic.
