My old school Stradic meets my new Stradic lol

Is this because of the "duracross" drag on all models of the Stradic FM? 

I doubt it's the material, probably just a better drag system.  Personally, when using light line or any kind of fishing where a smooth light drag is required, I still prefer felt.  Ive never been in a situation where I needed more drag while using a 2500 or smaller reel.  Not that carbontex isn't smooth, Ive got so much in confidence in felt after using it so long.
