Line Sizes?

Featured Replies

Ok... so I bought a new Stradic today at BPS and got some 10 lb. Yo-Zuri Hybrid line for one spool.  Now I am wondering what line to put on the other spool... I was thinking maybe some 6 lb. line.  I live in St. Louis and probably won't be fishing for big bass very often.

Take that line back and trade it for some Yozuri Soft in #6 or #8. I think with the flouro coated line the regular hybrid in #10 will not be what you want. Its too stiff for that. If you want to use #10 put it on a baitcaster unless you are using a 4000 series Stradic. If you are talking a 2000 series Stradic I don't think you will like that particular line on it. :)

I HIGHLY recommend #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft for spinning tackle. #10 original is NOT going to work well for you.

BTW, both original and Ultra Soft are bonded fluorocarbon/ nylon copolymers, they are not coated.
