Smallmouth and Casinos

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I Wanted to introduce myself, being that I'm a new member.  I've always enjoyed bass resource for their forums and videos, I'm glad I finally made a profile to participate in conversation.

I will be heading to Parker Strip.  I want to experiment with some dice baits as well as increase my efficiency cracking a tube.  My question is, I find myself working a tube more like a jig when I throw it, any technique advice for cracking it instead?

Thanks,

Dustin

Welcome to BR!
Lauphin casino’s and the Parker Stripe are 2 different places on the Colorado River.

The Casino’s are below Davis dam / lake Mojave, the Parker Strip below Parker dam / lake Havasu. The casino’s Laughin is a better smallmouth bass fishing location.

Don’t know why you want to feed smallmouth dice baits? Whatever Gitzit 3 3/4”  tubes in desert craw with 3/16 oz tube jig works.

I'm talking about those artificial dice baits with the jig skirts all over.  Similar to a stick bait or dropshot.

Thank you for the welcome!  Yeah im familiar with the area, I thought the title was catchy.  Never heard of those tubes, I'll check them out.

Sounds like he wants to throw some dice at the Casino.

Hahaha I absolutely do.  I'm a gambling man, on and off the water.

For reference, this is the bait I'm talking about when I say dice.
