Friday.   Wait, some history.  My dentist that I adored retired 2 weeks ago.   We moved away from his town, but I kept him as our dentist.  My wife and I would schedule with him appointments back to back and we would road-trip to him twice a year for our check up and cleanings.   last visit was May and he gave us the happy news.

so we shopped for a new dentist.   We have an initial consultation appointment end of October.    My molar had other ideas b

friday.  Eating Saag Paneer, I felt a crunch.  The dish is the softest food on the planet!  You can eat it toothless. :)  I licked my molar and it felt like half of it was gone.  Waaahhh!

I left a message with my potential new dentist.   I called the rest of them nearby, in a panic. In the meantime dentist #1 called and put me down for tomorrow morning.  I locked it in.   One other dentist called  back and asked me to come in ASAP to see what was what.   I’m okay. A big filling fell out.   He poked at it and there was no pain.    He suggested I keep my Monday thing and let her replace the filling.  He said if I didn’t jive with her, come back to him. He is taking new patients.   He was cool!

im taking my retired dentist out for dinner soon.  A double date with our wives.  Have I have a story for him.

‘’my timing in life is not ideal.  Haha.

I can’t wait for Monday!  It can’t get here fast enough.

My old dentist retired probably 15 years ago. My teeth were in good shape then. I figured if I brushed twice a day all would be well if I didn’t go to the dentist.
not my brightest thought in life.

Last year my teeth began to hurt a little, and I found a new dentist, who has now done 6 cavities. I still need several crowns… I just went on medicare. Throw that into the mix. I need 3 extractions, according to the new dentist. One hurts and I’m trying to find a oral surgeon that will accept my insurance. I have made many calls and I don’t half understand any of it…

I am trying to work 2 jobs also, and have little time for all this.

I have an appt with a oral surgeon this Thursday, but they won’t tell me if my insurance covers it or not until I come in. Will probably cancel and keep looking for another one.

It better be quick , because I’m running low on moxicillon!!

I hope you get that taken care of soon Mike!

Don't need a grouchy old man in the boat with a toothache!

I don't think the stereo and 80's heavy metal is loud enough to cover that up! Ha!

I'll text you info about a good local dentist. Hopefully you can get it taken care of fast. Soooo, today I am going to take a brand new set of teeth out fishing in Keystone Heights if weather stays good. Get your old set of teeth all fixed up and let's go!

I still gotta find out where your hidden secret spot is now that I know its not in your backyard.

Kent, That “secret spot”  is one of the ponds at church. Thought I told you.
If you play heavy metal in the boat, I’m jumping out, tooth or no tooth!

I’d settle for some Skynyrd though… I know you’d be down with that lol…

Oh you told me you were going to church all right. Only you never said which one. So its still a secret spot for now.

And you are right about the heavy metal. The fish would scatter quickly. But start jumping in the boat with some Skynyrd and Allman Brothers. Better than a hydrowave!

I'm gonna have to follow you to church!

I hope your tooth is doing better- and that you and the OP have both found some good new dentists. I am cringing now at the thought of those drills!

Kent , Seriously I don’t mind you fishing the church pond , but  It’s very hard to catch bass on artificials there. I think the most I ever caught there in 2 hours of fishing or less is 3 .  Sometimes you can fish all the way around it and catch nothing.
