its a useful position. D

I thought I could do it easily. heck, I have backpacked and utilized the squat many many times. I never realized I was always in a heel up position. a lady challenged me, and I rebuked, "piece of cake!". I almost toppled over backwards. heel up, I can stay that way for a long time. heel down, I was shocked: I thought I had this.

mission: get those heels down!

it took me two weeks. I would try it all day long at random intervals. telephone call? drop and hold for 1-minute. pet the dog? "come here HANK! whose a good boy?" 1 minute interval. I had to hold on to something firm for about a week. to find my center of balance. I learned my squat is much different that what a 100lb, super fit, asian long distance joggers squat looks like. It was impossible to make it look like hers.

my knees and hips are getting flexy!

Excellent. I've never been able to flat foot full squat. I can still put my full palms on the floor from standing with straight legs. Pretty sure it's my hips keeping me from being a 100 lb, super fit, long distance running Asian. Well, and the 150lbs.😄Screenshot_20260208_182340_Gallery.jpg
