Primary use for a 7:01 reel??

Featured Replies

I have a Curado 200DHSV---have been using it for burning spinnerbaits.  What else can I use it for?  What would you use it for?

Some people like to burn buzzbaits and traps with them.

Alternatively, some like them for pitching jigs and soft plastics.  You cast it to the spot, work it, and when you're out of the strike zone, you can retrieve and cast again quicker.

For any bait that generates slack line that I want to pick up in an eyeblink.

I have mine on my topwater rod. If I make a cast and the fish start to blow up somewhere else I want to be able to get the lure back in fast so I can hit the blow up. I have one on my Rat-L-Trap rod in the late summer for when the fish what it as fast you I can reel. I have one on my pitching stick so I can get it back in a fast as I can. With or without a fish on it.

i like them for pitching/flipping so as some have said, you can get it back to you as fast as possible and get fish out of cover
