line to line

I am getting tired of hearing the knot go through the guides when I use a fluro leader on my braid. I really don't want to spend all day tying and measuring different knots.

Can anyone tell me the smallest knot which will hold the two of them together.

I always use a blood knot for line to line ties...........Cut the tag end(there will be 2) VERY short to avoid your problem.....This knot will not slip so cut tag ends closely.  ;D

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I have used uni to uni, Ablright and Stren knots and don't really like any of them.

I take it that glue isn't necessary.

I use a very small swival.

Garnet

I can't see how that would be quieter passing through the guides on my rods.

The Peixet Knot is smallest and 100% strong.

i don't know how long your leader is, but i know exactly what you mean. i use a 3-4 foot 20lb flor. for my leader. the uni to uni has worked flawless for me. as for the knot against the guide, i have learned myself to cast with the 4'+inches hanging off the guide. i'm only 5'-2" but the the time invested in getting use to casting with the leader has paid off for the wanting to use a leader in the first place. trust me its just a matter of getting used to casting with the leader. i'm a short guy and i can do it
