I have played with many reels by taking them apart, cleaning and fixing them, but for some reason I cant figure out how to get the side cover off of this reel??? The only thing I can think is that it must be stuck together some how. Does anyone know how to take one of the sides off?

There is a screw on the same side of the reel as the handle, right beside where it says Abu Garcia. It goes over to the side plate and holds it on. Just unscrew it and then the side plate should rotate clockwise and come off. Hope this helps.

Thanks I dont know why it didnt come off the first time. I guess I tried to turn it the wrong way.
