is there a way to prevent this when using weightless worms(mainly senkos)?  and i am not talking about spinning gear here....my baitcaster is severly twisted...will using a swivel help this?  or do i just need to deal with it cuz its part of the game?  i rig the worm as straight as possible and straighten it if it gets out of wack on a retrieve...any help is much appreciated

Prevention, none that I know of.  

I get the same thing when swim fishing light weight tubes and wacky rigged dropshot worms. After a couple of trips, I tie the line to a ball bearing swivel, hook it on the fence and head down the street. When the line is unwound from the spool I crank it in as I walk back to the swivel, letting the line come through tightly gripped thumb and fore finger. I have tried letting it come through the water behind the boat and it wasn't nearly as good as the little walk.

Let your line out behind the boat, with no hook or swivel on the line. Once you get down to the spool, let the line sit back there for a minute ot two and let it iwist itself out...  Then real it in....  Works good, as far as prevention.... I have no idea....

This one really boggles my mind since I often fish the same way often and have never had a line twist issue. I do use an EWG hook which might provide a bit of a keel effect.

NBR, i use an EWG hook too, 3/0 gammy.....and i know this might sound weird....but lately i have been using my spinning gear....and no line twist issues....it is only on my casting gear
