Sweet!!! what is on the handle for that real, and those hooks.... the extra long offset... GREAT now the bait monkeys calling, are they carried by stores?

Well, I got to put the reel to good use today! I lined it with Berkley Fireline 20 pound braided line. It cast really smooth, the round handle took a couple of minutes to get used to, but now I prefer it! The snake lures have an insane action to them, it looks exactly like a snake swimming through the water! I didn't catch anything on it today, but I was more so just seeing how it performs. Schools of smaller bass all swarmed to it, but none attempted to hit it. I'll try it out where the big bass are on Friday and give y'all an update and probably a video!

Well, after some good time to try out this reel, this is what I have to say about it. The reel is good quality, impossible to bird's nest which is good if you are new to spinning reels, but for me not so much of a benefit. I am disappointed with casting distance, no matter how hard I sling it, even with a good amount of weight, it just doesn't seem to cast out far. Once again, it is good quality, but I would recommend it for someone who is new to spinning reels and not your avid fishermen. I will be seeking a new reel soon.

CK before you seek out a new reel, see if this one works better with mono, or fluoro. I have a reel and I also put 20lb braid on and it did not cast far at ALL. I put the mono back on and it was back to normal. Give it a shot, you got nothing to lose.

I agree with MattStrykul, I think the Fireline is kind of stiff, if you want to stick with braid you might want to try Power Pro I have had good luck with the 30# on a spinning reel seems to be more limp.

I'll give it a shot with some mono or flouro and update with any changes. Any specific brand recommendations?

IMO, the line to use to measure a set-ups true "castability" is Trilene XL in the 8-12lb range. While I have not used every line on the market, I have found that of the ones I have used, the XL is the easiest/smoothest/farthest casting.

Well, today I threw on some Berkley Vanish Flourocarbon 12 pound and the difference was night and day. This reel will cast nothing short of a country mile. I was just fishing a weightless wacky rigged senko and I was impressed to say the least.
