Featured Replies

kb here    i have 5 shimano baitcasting reels   on one of the curado  200 d modles  they have a different handle grip  they call it a" septon" nonslip grip

man do the work great   i wish i could buy more handles and put on the other shimano reels i have.   has anybody tried  to buy these some where . kb

kb,

What are the other Shimano® reels you have? and have you thought about putting Reel Grips on them?

Tight Lines!!!

Yeah, I agree with Reel Mech, the reel grips work great until they get a little water in there and they slip. Also after using the reel grips, try taking them off and feel how wierd the grips feel.  my reels just dont feel right anymore without them on.

You can try getting them from Shimano, only one itsy bitsy detail ..... they may not be compatible with your other reels.

If you don't mind spending a couple of bucks on a phone call, you can try Bob or Nancy at the Bass Pro Shop Catalog outlet reel repair.  I sometimes am amazed at the stuff they can dig up.  The store number is 1-417-887-7334 ask the operator to transfer your call.

Good luck.

Raul is right.

The differance is the 200B has a different drag star clicker system than the 200D, otherwise looking at the schematics they might interchange.

If your going to look into the reel grips I would check out the new pro series, they look like they fit a little tighter and may not slip when they get wet.

Tight Lines All!!!
