I use it on my spinning reels.  I have only good things to say...  it's strong, abrasive resistant, well behaved and priced right, for a general purpose line it's hard to beat.

If you are going into really clear water, you might consider yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft... it's everything above and even less visable.  But buy it by diameter, not # rating and use 6# instead of 8# (both the same strength but different diameter)

Sufix Seige was the springiest line I've ever used.  I know a lot of people like it, but for me it was like casting a slinky.

Sounds like you used heavier than needed line on a spinning reel...

I used Suffix Seige on almost all of my baitcasting reels and love it.  I just wish they made it in larger spools, so I wouldn't have to buy 5 spools every time I re-line my reels.  Try it and I think you'll like it.  :)

No.

It is one of the toughest and best monos I have used to date. One of the best things I like about it is that IMHO, is seems to resist acquiring memory longer than any other mono I have tried.

I have used 10, 12 and 20# tests. Excellent mono.
