Spinning rod help.

Featured Replies

i was considering purchasing a 7 foot medium action BPS prolite finesse rod because i could get one for about 60 bucks,i considered getting a st croix avid spinning rod as i already have a st croix avid casting rod and really like but at this point in my life the avid even on sale is still way out of budget. can anybody tell me anything about the quality of the BPS prolite finesse rods and if it is suitable to fish soft plastics with it.

I'm a big fan of my BPS Extreme 7' M for plastics. Got two of 'em when they were on sale.  :(

BPS will be coming down a lot more in the near future. Members have reported buying Avids at Dick's for as little as $65. I would suggest that you hold out and get the St. Croix when the price is right, or just do a little more shopping around the internet.
