My Abu Garcia Revo SC from Cabelas arrived.  Wow, very nice reel! Now, what shall I put under it?

Stratosdadri just scored the same reel for $69 after sale, coupon and rebate.

I noticed that ABU-Garcia does not list that reel on its Web site.  Is it just a red Revo S made specially for Cabelas?

I've got my rebate form to send in as well.  Picked up the Ambassadeur 5600CB at the same time, on sale, for $60.00.  I thought that was a good price as well. I have a 7' MH Musky rod I'm going to mount it on.

I wonder if I can get 10 bucks off both reels?

That's my understanding.

yes, it is a High speed reel too I believe, which makes it different from the original in their line up

The difference between the Revo S and SC is the SC has mag breaks and it is high speed reel. Two features you don't get on a standard "S" model.

And it has a nice red finish and not the grey. What a great reel, especially for the money.

I ordered mine last Friday.  Brown pulled into the driveway Tuesday morning.  I actually wasn't expecting it that quickly.

I got mine yesterday. I ordered some jigs from BPS 10 minutes before I ordered my reels and I still haven't seen the jigs. lol  If Cabelas always ships that fast I won't be going back to Bass Pro again.

I ordered mine on Friday afternoon and they were at the door on Tuesday. Amazingly fast.   8-)

I ordered mine on Sunday and got them this afernoon.

I think I'm going to sleep with them tonight.

woohoo.. I got my reels, but how the heck can you take the side plate off to oil the spool bearings if ya wanted to?  ;D :

Looks like it is probably disassembled from the handle side. But I don't know for sure. The oiling diagram could be a tad more specific.

On the top of the handle end plate is a large screw.  Unscrew that and the side plate can be pivoted off.
