when i cast it. believe it or not i still like the unit for jigs and plasit worms and such.

the unit is a Magforce 1500 "hi-speed" which is funny because theres nothing hi about the speed. anyone know where i can order a set of bearings?

    Then anything in the 5.1:1 range was high speed...

    You don't need bearings for that reel, all you need to do is remove and replace the spool shaft end shims, and clean and re-lube the spool support bearings...
