Yoziri Hybrid Ultra Soft

Featured Replies

I read somewhere that this line floats.  If this is true would it still be used for worm or jig fishing?

i think rw did say that it floated in a different thread.  i don't have first hand experience with that line (just ordered some though) but i would say that just based on pure physics that if the buoyancy of the line (upward force of the water on the line causing it to float) is less than the buoyancy of the worm, the line will have minimal affect on using a worm or a jig that sinks.  in summary, i would say that the ability of the line to float will have negligible affects on a worm or jig (since the worms ability to sink is much greater than the lines ability to float).

The line floats, but has no impact on sinking baits. I fish weightless worms and jigs...well, actually I fish everything on this line! I think you will like the Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft, I do!

I will second that by saying it floats, but not by much.  I fish mostly weightless worms and the line is easily pulled under by the worm without affecting the fall.  I have only been able to use the line for a few outings.  I just switched from braid w/ floro leader to Yo-Zuri Hyb US.  I miss the sensitivity of braid, but l like the strength compared to the floro leader knot strength.

I still have one rod with braid on it, but other than that I am using 100% ultra soft at this point.  It is the best line I've used.  I spooled my spinning rod with #8 back in Feburary when I went to Fork and I am still using that same line.  It has absolutely no memory when in use.  It's pretty strong also.

Is the Yoziri less sensitive than other line? I want to try some but of course you wouldn't want to loose sensitivity.
