getting ready to buy some rods

Featured Replies

have only been bass fishing for about 2 yrs.. all the rods I have are the bass pro extremes.   I have a 7ft MH and M...  Got a chance to try a buddies St.Croix and noticed how much softer the tip is his MH compared to the bass pro version..  What is everyones favorite rod?  I really dont want to go buy an expensive rod and then be unhappy with it... I am looking for a worm rod, crankbait rod, spinnerbait and spinning rod...any help with this would  be appreciated  thanks   darren

There is a thread running on Reed's St. Croix liquidation sale. Avid rods are going to run you about $100 each, but no tax or shipping charges!

Soft plastics and jigs: AC68MXF or AC70MHXF

Crankbait (all treble hooks) and spinnerbait: AC66MF

Spinning rod: Depends on what you plan to fish, but probably an AS66MF or AS70MF

Oops!

Check the site tomorrow and see if anything is updated, but right now it looks like all my suggestions have sold out. Whatever they held back, if any, are no longer offered at the sale price. You might try calling them, too.
