Hi,

I Checked out my Dick's store today to see if there are any bargains and i found 2 Premiers 66MHF at about $70. The color of the rods is grey with dark red/brown wrapping on the guides(6+tip). The reelseat doesn't have the cut-out so the finger touches the blank.

Could anybody tell me how old are they andif is a good deal?

I dont know about the deal part but i stay away from them reel seats i prefer a exposed blank so much more control and sensitivity.

That model is very old. Two or three changes ago. You can get the newest model new for $30 more. I'm surprised a company like Dick's still has that rod in their stock. Most large companies dump the old model when a new one is coming out. (Just like Dick's did with the Avid) You usually find mom and pop's with old stock like that because they can't afford to dump them like the big guys can. $40 or so might be a good price. Not a bad rod, just not for $70.

I was not planning to buy them yet. Mabe in combination with some coupons and sale event; so it comes out to under $50 each.
