Any opinions ? I can get a good condition Diawa Viento for $125.00 or should I get 2 new cheaper priced reels ?  Black Max - ABU , Megaforce - Diawa, Escalade - Quantum..

The Escalade just went on sal at Dicks for $69.00 bucks.

I already have  a new REVO S and love it....Any opinions ?

The Black Max's are nice for the $$$ but for $20 more the Abu Pro Max is amazing. I like it more than my Revo S.

How about a review on those Max reels with some pictures.  I wasn't too impressed with them when I looked at them, but people that have them seem to like them.  I'd like to know more about them.

Ok things I like about the Pro Max...

-A little bigger profile is more comfortable in my hands than the Revo S's

-Bigger reel that holds more line but is almost an ounce lighter. And that .8 difference on the Carrot Stix is very noticable.

-Reels much smoother than my S's. Maybe I got defected Revo's, idk, but the Pro Max definatley reels smoother imo.

Things I don't like....

-The color

- Way to good to be true lol. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me if I blew it up only a few trips in.

Besides that, 8 stainless bearings for the Revo to 7 for the Pro Max, Revo S is 6.4:1 the ProMax is 6.2:1, both have the Duragear Brass Gears. IDK if it is just personal preference but I know there are others out there that think it is a great reel as well.

The Black Max, wont put it in the category of these two reels, but non the less good for the money. Nothing too special though.

Ok hard to tell but the Pro Max is a little bigger than the Revo's but it fits your hand better imo. Probably just a personal preference but unless I have the extra $$ laying around for the STX or Premier I will go with the Pro Max.

The Max does look a little bigger than the Revo.  Probably something to do with the polymeric.
