Swim x - Makes a Swimbait hook ,that have screw on it . It's the best I've found. I Love throw these things. I have done as well in the the rivers, but throw a 4.5 Shadilious or 3.5 and I catch them all day. Great baits.

Make sure you give them a good Lube and oiling.....All reels should be done when new out of the box. So, I was told.

I'm having luck with Berkley Fireline Crystal 30lb.

wouldn't you know it....The day of all the Tornados that ripped through the Southeast.....The BASS were going crazy and hitting anyhting that was thrown at them..... His dad went back the next day , trying that same pattern....and only caught 8 keepers. Nothing big..

While i'm stuck here at work...My buddy went to Wheeler here in Alabama....He had 41 limit fish....Many over 2 lbs. in 6 hrs. of fishing.. Best 5 fish around - 18 lbs. Had a 6lb'er , lost another the same size at the boat on a Jerk Bait... Almost all his fish were caught on Norman crankbait in 15 to 18 ft. of water , fishing Rock piles. He called last night, wanting me to play hooky from work....NOW I WISH I HAD GONE.... >

I use the Original 4" Slug-go when I drop Shot, sometimes.

Went to mouth of Elk River on Wheeler , today. I threw the Tackle bag at them today............. NOT 1 Nibble or bite !!!!!! I did enjoy being out there today WITH MY DAD, though.......We don't get to get out as much anymore. But, when we do, I could care less if I caught a fish anyway... He didn't even catch a CRAPPIE, fishing behind me, with minnows.....

Get a Shimano Citica right now, while the rebate is going on....... Then USE the rest on a good rod to go with it !!!!!!!!!!!

My vote is - SHIMANO , just make sure you fine tune the VBS system...and it will cast a mile and reel smooth...very smooth.....

The old Cotton Cordell "Th' Hot Spot" - doesn't have a rattle...At least mine doesn't...It's never been wet.....It's still in it's origial box....I've been told ,it's from the '50's..
