I am going to get a spinning rig for skipping plastics and tubes under docks. As I was looking around it is pretty hard to ignore some of the combos that BPS has put togther, since I have a 20% off coupon for any one item. (A combo will let me use it on both the rod and reel, plus the built in discount.)

It seems as though the nicest one they have uses a BPS ProQualifier rod with the new Stradic reel. I could also save a bunch more if I got the same rod with their PQ reel.

I normally use baitcasters, but if I get a nice spinning outfit I will use it for more than skipping docks. Would you get one of these packages, or should I get another Kistler and match it with a reel of my choice?

You need to ask yourself, if you buy the combo will you be content with it.  Or will you end up getting the Kistler later in additon to, therefore spending even more than you originally anticipated?

Get the Kistler. However, with a little practice you should be able to skip under docks w/ a baitcaster.  Thats how I do it and I know I'll get the fish in the boat w/ that kinda of setup.
