Soare/ Soare 30 Japan model is the tuned up version of Shimano Twin Power MG reels, specialized on finesse fishing. Soare is fine for saltwater fishing.

The body is Twin Power Mg; the magnesium-based alloy body gives the reel very rigid feeling and the ultra smoothness in operation. All ball bearings are ARB, corrosion-resistant.

AR-C spool design reducing line troubles by half

Slow air wrap oscillation system allowing lines to leave spool without fractions

Soft urethane grip allowing no slip on wet fingers

Body protection bar fitting opposite to handle accompanies

The PGS model has 4.3 power gear and a shallow spool. The HGS model has 6.0 high gear and a shallow spool.

Right/Left handle changeable. No spare spool.

That right there is sexy. One Shimano I wouldn't mind owning. I like that shallow spool and the high gear ratio. 8-)

Those colors would match a Helium II perfect.

I see the write up from the website.

But why do you like it so much?

I would like to read a real reason for liking a $300+ ultra light reel so much...

pfluemis,

I agree........

$300 and you don't even get a spare spool.  If it had a spare spool I would probably order a dozen or zero!  Plus it weighs nearly as much as a real reel.

And practical, too!  I have been looking all over for a reel that will take 3 lb test line!   ;D

Yep, that's business from Shimano...

Come up with a gimmick and take the money out of peoples pockets!

That's how stockholders get rich !

And it does the job as well as a $50 reel ;D

I have a Stella 1000FB with similar specs. I use it on a GLX DSR820 droposhot rod for dropshotting and shakey head fishing. I like it so much because I know that if a 5lb+ bass takes my bait, I can still get him in the boat. JMHO
