Cardiff okay for saltwater use?

Featured Replies

Guys,

Gonna do some light saltwater fishing this weekend.  I don't primarily do saltwater and didn't want to spend more money.  I do have the Cardiff and was wondering if that is safe for saltwater.

Cheers.

The short answer is yes. I use my 301A in saltwater.  As with any other reel you will need to clean it after every outing. Well, at least I do.

What series Cardiff do you have???

Anything under a 300 I would say no....

Tight Lines!!!

Why is that reelmech? I thought they all had ARB's? I also use my 301 for the salt and its been so good so far.

I do have the 300 series.

Thanks fellas.  Reelmech, expect something in the mail in about a week.

Cheers!
