I want to buy a flippin rod at the Bass Pro Classic. I know to go to a long rod but do I go with a MH or H rod with a fast tip?

Personally, I like the medium heavy.

But what type of cover and structgure will you be pitching and flipping?

That will determine the rod you need, be it medium or heavy action.

I'd definitely go with a Heavy for the flipping I do, when I do it.

+1.  I do like my BCFR 894 for flippin' and pitchin'...I can get quite a bit more distance with that extra 5" versus a 7' rod.  Get yourself an 894 Mossyback if you can't afford a GLX...assuming you are going with Loomis  

Pads and slop?  Definitely heavy action and the longer the better.  You're often trying to hoist 5lbs of salad along with the fish when fishing that type of cover so you need all the leverage and rod strength as possible.
